MAC Refined Golden Bronzing Powder

My first MAC bronzer. I think I'm in love...
I am the least bronze person you will ever see. I am the palest person I have ever met. Seriously. I'm that pale. So as you might imagine, bronzers scare me a little.

I've never tried one that I've fallen in love with and I thought that I would be the same with this one. I asked the lovely girl on the counter for a bit of advice, and she immediately pointed out this one, which I initially screwed my nose up at. It looks like it has loads of shimmer in it- which I hate- the matte-r the better for me please! But I kinda let her talk me into it... and I'm so glad i did!

In the pan, this bronzer looks really shimmery and really brown, but as soon as its applied, I get a glowy, bronzed, natural finish, without looking too orange.
Priced at £17.50, this bronzer is much cheaper than the beautiful Guerlain bronzer that i loved but made me look tangoed so I'm a very happy lady.

Mad Men

A few months ago, all I had heard of this TV show was in a few magazines and a few people on Twitter had mentioned it. I had no idea what it was about, but I knew it was set in the 60's and people had said how amazing it is.
I mentioned it to Ben and he said that he'd like to watch it too, so that night we found it online and since then it has literally taken over my life!
It is just so glamorous, stylish and i can't stop watching it!
It's set around a guy called Don Draper, who works at an advertising firm, who has a beautiful wife, played by the stunning January Jones.

January Jones

All they do all day is drink cocktails, smoke and walk around looking perfect.
My favourite character is Joan Holloway- played by Christina Hendricks- who as all my friends will tell you- I'm obsessed with.

My girl crush- Christina Hendricks

It's definitely worth watching, and give it some time, it took me a few episodes to get into, but it's so worth the wait.

A Look Inside My Mind...

Liz Earle Cleanse And Polish

My first beauty post is going to be on Liz Earle Cleanse And Polish.
I have been using this cleanser for about 2 years now and genuinely wouldn't use any other cleanser... ever!

You can buy the cleanser from Liz Earle online or QVC. If it's your first time using it, I'd recommend buying the starter kit for £13.25. In the kit you get a 100ml pump of the cleanser and 2 muslin cloths which are essential (for the polish part). These come in a handy little zip top bag.

Liz Earle only makes one cleanser- this one- which is suitable for all skin types and can take off even stubborn mascara. I love Cleanse And Polish for the smell- it's a beautiful, natural, botanical smell and really makes me feel like I'm treating my skin.

To use the cleanser is so simple- all you need to do is take one pump- sometimes two- depending on how much you feel you need to use. Massage the cleanser into your dry face, taking it over the eyes and just down the neck. Next you need to soak the muslin cloth in warm water, wring it out and gently wipe off the cleanser in a circular motion. Easy peasy!

The muslin cloth exfoliates your skin, leaving it feeling lovely and soft and not needing to use a separate exfoliator.

You can reuse the muslin cloths by popping them in the washing machine and they sell all sorts of different sizes of the cleanser- from tiny ones for travelling to huge big tubes that will last months.

If you want to feel like you've had a facial every day then I'd highly recommend trying the Cleanse And polish, it always helps me start my day feeling fresh, awake and pampered.

Have you tried Liz Earle? What do you think?

Las Vegas Wedding

As I mentioned, we are getting married in Las Vegas at the beginning of June and I am majorly excited!
Ben and I met in September 2008 when we started working at the same department store together. We didn't particularly know each other for another year, when we met in a club and have been inseparable ever since. We got engaged in December 2010 so it's been a little bit of a whirlwind romance really.

This is my engagement ring, it's antique and so my style- really vintagey and gorgeous.
So why did we decide to get married in Vegas? Well... we already had an amazing holiday booked when we got engaged, to San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. We love the thought and the ease of getting married in Vegas and we don't want to have to save up for years for a long, boring  unoriginal English wedding. We just would not have been able to afford it.

So it will just be us two in Las Vegas and then we're having a huge party when we return for everybody else. We have been asked a lot what our families think and are we upset that they can't be there? And to be honest, yeah it would be amazing if everybody could be there but as long as we are happy then they are happy. Isn't getting married just about two people confirming their love for each other and nobody else anyway?
So here we are, 8 weeks away from being married, we have rings, outfits, everything booked and we are just so happy and excited about it- no stress at all.
What was your wedding like? Is there anything you would have done differently? Have you been to Las Vegas? Let me know!

My New Blog!

Hi!
So this is my very first post on my very first blog! I'm so excited to have a blog, I have been reading a huge amount of other peoples blogs for a long while now and I've had the urge to start one myself. I don't know if it will be any good or if it will have any interest, but we'll see!
I'll tell you a little bit about me in this post as I love to know everything I can about the people I read about- I'm nosy like that!
My name is Natalie, I'm 21 and I live in Leicester with my lovely fiance, Ben. We live in a tiny, tiny little flat in the city centre, which is great for going out and shopping but not so great for storing my enormous collection of shoes!
Ben and I are getting married on Sunday 5th of June in Las Vegas! I am SO excited now and I think we've got most things sorted, I'll do a whole blog post on the wedding, proposal and everything like that later on.
I love going out for meals or going to the cinema with Ben- we are a little obsessed with films! I love going out for a dance with my friends at the weekend and I love hanging out with my mum and making a nuisance of myself at her, my dad and my sisters house!
I am hugely in love with make up and skin care so expect a few reviews and swatches.

This is me a couple of weeks ago before a night out, having a bit of a dance in my living room!
